Elle fût exploitée une quinzaine d'année. <br /> <br /> En {{A|1852}}, le puits fût remblayé et une chose surprenante s'est produite : la construction d'une église sur ce puits !<br /> <br /> Cette église a été classée aux Monuments Historiques en {{A|2009}}, mais également reprise au Patrimoine Mondial de l'UNESCO.</div>
